A NATURAL THING

TIME
YOU
ROAD
SKY
WINGING IN AND OUT
CURVES ABOUT
WIND NEXT TO ME
WE SEE
OTHERS LIKE US
ON THEIR OWN JOURNEYS
THE STORIES THEY TELL
THE LINES THEY WEAVE
FINE THREAD ON PASSERS BY
WE KEEP GOING
RESTING
AMAZED
COUNTRYSIDES
HILLSIDES
MOUNTAIN RIVERS MOVING
AMAZED HOW THEY DANCE
AMAZED HOW THEY FLOW
WITH THEIR OWN UNIQUE RHYTHM
AND SO IT GOES
A BOND OF TRUST BETWEEN US
WE TAKE THE ROAD AS OUR PARTNER
FAITHFUL IT WILL LEAD US TO PEACEFUL SURRENDER
FAITHFUL IT WILL GUIDE US THROUGH
SKY OF CLOUDS
SKY OF SUNSHINE
SKY OF BLUE
NEVER KNOWING WHEN TEARS MAY FALL
HEAVEN SILENTLY WEEPING
JUST FOR SECOND
A TEARDROP OR TWO
NOTHING WE HAVE NOT KNOWN BEFORE
WE APPROACH MOUNTAINN CRESTS
THE AIR,

SHARP LIKE SHREDDED GLASS
YET CLEAR HEADY DEVINE
THE STORY THE ROADS TELL

WORDS for the RIDE

Safety doesn't happen by accident. ~Author Unknown
Only a Biker knows why a dog sticks his head out of a car window.
No matter what marquee you ride, it’s all the same wind.
Gray-haired riders don’t get that way from pure luck.
A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel.
Don’t argue with an 18-wheeler.
The twisties – not the superslabs –separate the riders from the squids.
Learn to do counter-intuitive things that may someday save your butt.
Well-trained reflexes are quicker than luck.
Winter is Nature’s way of telling you to polish.
Whatever it is, it’s better in the wind.
Two-lane blacktop isn’t a highway – it’s an attitude.
Sometimes the fastest way to get there is to stop for the night.
Young riders pick a destination and go... Old riders pick a direction and go.
Never do less than forty miles before breakfast.
A cold hamburger can be reheated quite nicely by strapping it to an exhaust pipe and riding forty miles.
Never hesitate to ride past the last street light at the edge of town.
Pie and coffee are as important as petrol.
Sometimes it takes a whole tankful of fuel before you can think straight.
Don’t ride so late into the night that you sleep through the sunrise.
